A Windows x64 PC with a supported, maintained Windows installation, administrator-approved installation access and sufficient free storage for the application, database and backups.
Deployment readiness
Prepare the right Windows counter.
HGT Med Retail 1.3.4 is supplied as a Windows x64 desktop application. Confirm the computer, printer, scanner, backup and internet requirements before installation.
Invoice printers
Windows-installed printers are detected by the application. Invoice profiles include A4, A5, 58 mm and 80 mm; final margins depend on the printer driver and paper configuration.
Barcode & document scanning
Standard keyboard-mode barcode scanners can be used at the counter. Supplier document import accepts supported PDF/image workflows and always requires review before stock is posted.
Internet
Daily billing and local records remain local-first. Internet is required for cloud backup, connected AI, remote support and other optional online services.
Backup
Keep protected backups on a separate drive. Test restore procedures before relying on a backup for business continuity.
Security
Use individual Windows and HGT Med accounts, updated antivirus protection, a strong owner password and restricted access to backups.
Compatibility note: printer availability and silent printing depend on the installed Windows printer driver. Test the selected printer and paper profile before live billing.
